Crocheted booties for newborns: 5 best schemes
Booties are very necessary for the baby, as soon as he begins to learn to walk, because they protect the legs. But they will come in handy earlier: for protection from the cold, accidental blows and kicks, in the end - just for beauty. The best booties are knitted, because they are quite soft and dense at the same time. But buying them is not necessary at all, because you can make them yourself!
1. Sole for booties
The soles of the booties are always knitted according to one principle, and the small details depend on your skill. Only the size changes, so take measurements and use different formulas to calculate the number of air loops. For a sole of 10.5x5.5 cm, a chain of 5 cm length is suitable - these are 10 loops with a thin thread and a hook number 2.
Knit 2 more stitches, and then knit into the tenth single crochet for a neat rounded turn. In all the remaining loops, knit along the usual column, except for the last. In it you need to knit 5 columns to go to the other side. And then mirror 8 more of the same columns so that the part is symmetrical.
Tie 2 columns in the last loop, finish the circle and climb up, and then make a column, and in the second loop - two more. Knit 4 columns one at a time as usual, and after them 4 more crochets, turn around and again repeat in a mirror on the other side.
Then knit with ordinary columns and add a loop only at the end. On the fourth row add a couple of columns in a wide place, and the fifth again knit again just like that, without anything. If you need a different size and a different number of loops, recalculate the approximate proportions and adjust the shape in the process.
2. Warm booties with buttons
You will need an acrylic thread, a 3.5 mm hook, a needle, a matching sewing spool and buttons. Make a sole, climb through the loop and then knit the entire row for the back half, so that the transition to the vertical is sharper. Round the perimeter, knit half-columns with a crochet and connect with the top of the very first column.
In the second row you need to decrease on the toe, so find the middle and count about 8 loops. Make 2 loops of lifting and knit half-columns to the marker, and after it make reductions from loose knit stitches that need to be pulled together by one loop.
Work the next 2 rows with simple columns, and the toe with double crochets. On the third, make a decrease on the heel and on the toe, and after it - knit 3 rows first with a crochet, and then with a lapel for the front half of the loop. Finish work, hide the tail, unscrew the cuff and sew the button.
3. Booties with laces
Take a ready-made sole and rise with a colored thread to 2 lifting loops. Knit single crochet around the perimeter to make the transition between the two parts. Go up 2 loops again and start knitting one regular column. Along the way, count the central 15 loops to form a toe and mark with a marker.
When you reach the marker, knit 15 double crochet stitches, and then finish the row with the usual ones. Sweep the marker and do the same in a new circle, pulling the sock over the front edges of the loops. As a result, you should have 5 such rows, after which you need to tie the backdrop.
To finish the top of booties, knit a couple of rows back and forth, as in the video, and create places for the laces. On the toe, knit a small tongue in the same pattern behind the front wall of the embossed column. It remains only to straighten the shoes and insert the laces into place.
4. Booties for beginners
Calculate how many loops you will need along the length of the foot, add two more and type in the chain. Knit 2 double crochets into the third loop from yourself. Continue to move further with the usual half-columns until you reach the turn, and there, knit five loops in one to beautifully cross to the other side.
Rise and make 2 half-columns in the next loop, and then knit one at a time and add 2 on a U-turn. Continue the pattern until you get the right sole width. Knit three new rows with half columns without additions.
Then finish the upper part of the booties with half columns, and the toe with columns with 2 crochets. Do not untie them to the end immediately and collect them on a hook, to then pull them together. Finish the connecting posts and finish the top just in a circle.
5. Bootees made of plush yarn
Knitting from warm plush yarn is very easy and pleasant with a hook with a diameter of 4-5 mm. Do the sole according to the simplified scheme in a circle, but you will need fewer rows due to the thickness. In the same way, use 2 lifting loops, and then knit on the back walls of the loops.
Get up, unfold the knitting and from the second loop knit half crochets. Fold the booties in half and mark the future sock with a marker - about 8 loops. Knit before them, as before, and after the marker, start decreasing. The next 2 rows - exactly the same pattern, only decreases each time will be half as much.
Knit 2 more rows up just in a circle to form the upper part of the booties. Design the sole and edge with a thread of a different color and texture, and for volume you can take it in two additions. The plush terry decor and the same laces look interesting on the plush.
